Claro led the entitlement and design development phase of the historic 171-key Art Deco landmark. Claro managed the General Contractor throughout the construction phase.  The 160 million redesign features restoration of the building’s original art deco elements, including its exterior facade, terrazzo flooring and its Delano logo. The historic Delano pool and gardens were rebuilt along with many food & beverage locations throughout the hotel.

The project began with the entitlement and design development phase of the Iconic Oceanfront Hotel. The 100M redevelopment transformed the guest rooms, suites, and townhouses into Proper’s first US luxury resort hotel, The Shelborne by Proper includes new restaurants with a flagship seafood dining experience, lobby cafe, expansive lobby bar, intimate cocktail lounge, pool bar, and a visionary ocean view terrace.
