TD Bank acquired Commerce Bank in March of 2008 and is now known as “Americas Most Convenient Bank”. In addition to greatly expanding their U.S. retail presence, TD Bank continues to offer their core commercial banking, wealth management and wholesale banking products with the service that Commerce Bank built their reputation on. TD Bank is an international bank with over 1,400 branches worldwide.
Claro Development is currently engaged as the Owner’s Representative and Project Managers in support of development and construction. Claro Development’s initial engagement was for the oversight of 30 new bank branches in the South Florida tri-county area and has now delivered over 75 branches throughout Florida, North Carolina & South Carolina. Claro Development has successfully achieved a reduction in the average construction duration for new banks from 20 weeks to 14 weeks; the 14 week standard was set originally by Commerce Bank in the northeast after the completion of hundreds of new banks. The schedule was accomplished by implementing a fast track construction program that focuses on sequencing critical path tasks and concurrent work flow. Claro Development additionally assisted with adopting the design of the bank’s prototype for South Florida, contributing to both the means and methods of construction and value engineering.
Claro Development is responsible for the management of new site entitlements, comprehensive site development, permitting, and new building construction management. Claro has also been responsible for the project management and oversight of non-retail office renovations for TD corporate support and investment banking staff.
