Aventura, Florida is the first U.S. location for Nutriway, a weight-loss company based in Europe. They approached Claro with the need to attract customers who were unfamiliar with the program.

Claro worked with Nutriway to design and build a space that would simultaneously reflect the personality of their brand and promote their product. Realizing that competing weight-loss retail outlets were essentially generic and failed to complement the brand, Claro set out to create a new player in the field that did just the opposite.

Because Nutriway offers both nutritional counseling and gourmet protein products in its stores, the 1,700 square feet was divided into two distinct areas.

The front was converted into an open retail area space with high visibility from the street. Custom cabinets were designed to not only hold Nutriway food products, but also complement the lines, graphics, and tones of the product's color-coded packaging.

The back of the store was transformed into private consultation rooms, along with a quiet waiting area. Clerestory glass above partitions brings light and a sense of openness to these intentionally secluded spaces. The clear distinction between the lively retail space and subdued privacy of the consultation areas reflect Nutriway's understanding of what its customers desire and made it easy for them to find it.
