About Us

Claro Development was founded in 2002 as a diversified Real Estate Services firm, and later incorporated in Florida in 2005. We specialize in providing Development Services and Construction Management to Owners, Developers, and Operators. We have substantial experience with complex high-end projects on Miami Beach and throughout South Florida. We specifically have expertise in management and owner’s representation as it relates to hotel, commercial development, religious institutions and historic restoration.

Claro’s approach is based on managing risk from the outset. We start with Owner goals, program requirements, design specifications, and project goals. We then focus on the agreements between the Owner and the design consultants, we apply our expertise with land- use and entitlement, we closely manage the teams responsible for creating the construction documents and then most importantly we manage the day to day construction management.

Construction is a complex and challenging endeavor and projects carry big risks. On a daily basis, decisions are made that are critical to the success of the overall project. Even one mistake in any of the thousands of different tasks on a project can mean big problems and result in serious schedule delays and cost overruns. With the financial repercussions so high, it is critical that every step of the project be managed carefully. This is where Claro Development adds value to the project, helping our clients finish on-time and within budget.

We navigate the complex legal, engineering, and construction management issues that are a part of these projects. We also provide a single channel of communication to the entire development team and the Owner. As the Owner’s advocate and with our combined years of experience in construction we implement and manage a process that allows the design and construction work to be executed as per the standards and requirements of the hotel.

We assign a team of professionals to the project with backgrounds in construction, architecture, and engineering. That team reports to the principal in charge of the project, Sandor Scher.  We are a mid-size local company however, we utilize best practices as it relates to documents, systems, and process.  In the last fifteen years, we have delivered over 180 projects in over 70 cities and approximately $1.5 billion dollars of development to institutional clients and individual owners.
